The Matchday 6 of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, qualifiers will be played from Sunday, 17 November to Tuesday, 19 November 2024 across the continent.

Togo – Equatorial Guinea 17 November 2024 |

● Togo are unbeaten in their last five games against Equatorial Guinea in all competitions (W2 D3), since a 1-0 defeat in a World Cup qualifier in October 2003.
● Togo have won just two of their 13 matches in all competitions in 2024 (D7 L4), while they remain winless in AFCON 2025 qualifying, losing their last three such matches (D2).
● Equatorial Guinea have qualified for their fifth Africa Cup of Nations and their third in a row, with one game to spare in qualifying. Indeed they’ve only lost one of their last 10 AFCON qualifiers (W6 D3).

● Algeria guaranteed they’d top group E in AFCON 2025 qualifying with their 0-0 draw against Equatorial Guinea last time out. The Fennecs are unbeaten in 19 AFCON qualifiers (W14 D5), keeping nine cleans sheets in their last 12 such games.
● Liberia gained their first victory in six AFCON qualifiers last time out against Togo (1-0, D2 L3), they’ll be looking to win consecutive such matches for the first time since November 2018.
● Algeria have won their last two matches against Liberia in all competitions by an aggregate score of 8-1, winning 3-0 in the reverse fixture in September and a 5-1 friendly victory in June 2021.

● Burkina Faso are unbeaten in their seven encounters against Malawi in all competitions this century (W5 D2), running out 3-1 winners in the reverse fixture in September.
● Malawi remain winless in their last 10 AFCON qualifiers (D3 L7) since beating Ethiopia 2-1 in June 2022. They have failed to score in seven of those 10 matches, including their last three in a row.
● Burkina Faso have lost just two of their last 18 AFCON qualifiers (W10 D6), though were defeated 1-0 by Senegal in their last such match.

● Libya’s 1-0 win over Rwanda last time out was their first in AFCON qualifying since June 2022 (1-0 v Botswana), ending a nine-game winless run (D2 L7 – including awarded defeat to Nigeria).
● Benin have won just three of their last 14 AFCON qualifiers (D4 L7), though have scored in each of their last four. The last time they had a longer such scoring streak was between October 2018 and November 2020 (six matches).

● Sudan have kept three clean sheets across their last five AFCON qualifiers (W2 D1 L2), though did lose 4-0 to Niger last time out, the first time they’ve conceded that many goals in an AFCON qualifying match since a 4-1 defeat to Equatorial Guinea in March 2019.
● Angola are unbeaten in their last eight AFCON qualifiers (W5 D3), while they’ve not conceded more than once in any of their last 15 such matches.

● This will be just the fourth meeting between Ghana and Niger in the 21st century – Ghana won 3-0 at AFCON 2013, Niger won 2-0 at the 2023 African Nations Championship, before a 1-1 draw in AFCON qualifying earlier this year.
● Ghana are winless in their last five AFCON qualifiers (D3 L2), since beating Central African Republic 2-1 in September 2023.
● In Niger’s 4-0 win over Sudan last time out, they scored as many goals as they had in their previous 13 AFCON qualifying matches combined, while it was their first win in qualifying since November 2020 v Ethiopia (1-0).

● Both of the last two matches between Nigeria and Rwanda in all competitions have finished goalless, one in the 2018 African Nations Championship and one in this AFCON qualifying campaign.
● Nigeria have lost just one of their last 22 AFCON qualifiers (W16 D5 – including awarded win over Libya), though that sole loss came on home soil during a 1-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in March 2023.
● Rwanda have won just one of their last 12 AFCON qualifiers (D6 L5), beating Benin 2-1 in October. They have failed to score in three of their last four such matches.

● Both sides have scored in three of the last four meetings between Comoros and Madagascar in all competitions, including a 1-1 draw in AFCON qualifying in September.
● Comoros are unbeaten in their last seven AFCON qualifiers (W3 D4), having lost three in a row immediately before this. They’ve not conceded more than once in any of these seven matches, though have only scored multiple goals in a match once themselves (F8 A5).
● Madagascar remain winless in 15 AFCON qualifying matches (D7 L8) since beating Niger 6-2 in November 2019. Against Tunisia last time out (2-3 loss), they scored 2+ goals in such a fixture for the first time in those 15 games.

● Gabon lost 5-1 against Morocco last time out, their biggest defeat in AFCON qualifying since a 5-0 loss to Côte d'Ivoire in 2006.
● Louis Mafouta has scored two of Central African Republic’s three goals in AFCON 2025 qualifying, having 13 shots in total and twice as many shots on target (4) than any of his teammates.

● Two of Tunisia’s three wins in qualifying for AFCON 2025 have been thanks to 90th-minute winners, including Ali Abdi v Madagascar last time out.

● Kenya have won just two of their last 12 AFCON qualifiers (D6 L4), with those victories coming against Togo in March 2021 and Namibia in September 2024.
● Namibia are winless in six AFCON qualifiers (D1 L5) after a goalless draw last time out against Cameroon – they haven’t failed to score in consecutive such matches since November 2020.

● Congo are winless in their last four meetings with Uganda in all competitions (D1 L3) since a 3-1 win in February 2012.
● Congo are winless in four AFCON qualifiers (D1 L3), winning only once in this campaign (1-0 against South Sudan). Their 3-2 defeat to South Sudan last time out means they cannot qualify and will extend their wait in trying to reach their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1992.
● Uganda have won three of their five qualifiers for AFCON 2025 so far, their most in a single qualifying campaign for the competition since 2019, which was the last time they reached the final tournament (4).

● This will be just the second ever encounter between Côte d'Ivoire and Chad, following the Elephants’ 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture in September, where they completed 580 passes and had over 75% possession.
● Côte d'Ivoire have lost their last two matches in AFCON qualifying, as many defeats as the Elephants suffered in their previous 20 such games (W14 D4).

● Mozambique are unbeaten in their previous three meetings with Guinea-Bissau (W1 D2), winning the most recent encounter 2-1 in September this year.
● Guinea-Bissau are winless in their last four AFCON qualifiers (D2 L2), this after winning seven of their previous nine such games (D1 L1).
● Mozambique have only lost one of their last seven games in AFCON qualifying (W4 D2), although that defeat did come in their most recent such game via a 0-1 loss against Mali this month.

● Zambia won the reverse fixture in September 3-2, with the Leone Stars equalising twice in the match before an 85th minute winner by Kings Kangwa.

● DR Congo have won their last two meetings with Ethiopia, beating them 3-0 in January 2016 and 2-0 in September this year.
● Ethiopia are winless in nine AFCON qualifiers (D2 L7), losing each of their last four such games.
● DR Congo are already qualified for AFCON 2025 despite losing to Guinea last time out (1-0), which ended a run of eight consecutive wins without conceding in AFCON qualifiers, they haven’t lost back-to-back such matches since June 2022.

● Tanzania came from behind to beat Guinea 2-1 in the reverse fixture, they’re unbeaten in their last two matches against Guinea (W1 D1), scoring two goals in both games.
● Following their second victory in AFCON 2025 qualifying last time out against Ethiopia (2-0), Tanzania need a win against Guinea to reach their second consecutive Africa Cup of Nations, and they’re fourth appearance in the competition overall.
● Guinea have won three consecutive AFCON qualifiers for the first time since March 2023, while they last won four in a row in October 2018.
