Zambia's Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has said despite the win against Tanzania on Tuesday (19 January 2021), his players must improve because none of them gave 100%.

Zambia Chipolopolo picked a morale boosting 2-0 win against Tanzania Taifa Stars in their first Group D match at the ongoing Total African Nations Championship (CHAN), Cameroon 2020 at the Limbe Omnisports Stadium.

“No player has given his 100 percent. We need to improve a lot because there is no space for relaxation or complacency. The biggest motivation that we are going immediately to prepare for our next game against Guinea,” added Micho who makes third appearance in a CHAN tournament.

Sredojevic made it clear that winning the opening match of this tournament is a good motivation moving forward. “We are very concerned with the final details as we prepare for games and that is what we shall do ahead of the game against Guinea,” added the Serb.

He highlighted that the three games they played against Uganda, Cameroon and Niger in the Pre-CHAN Mini tournament in Yaoundé, and the last one against Libya also helped his players get in shape for the CHAN start.

Rwanda and Uganda former coach made it clear that although their next opponents Guinea are a good team and handled by a good coach, they will prepare according for the battle.

Zambia faces Guinea on Saturday (23 January 2021) in their Group D second match, also in Limbe.
