CAF African Schools Football Championship concludes week of learning with Certificate Award Ceremony
CAF today marked a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to youth football development with the successful hosting of the CAF African Schools Football Championship Certificate Award Ceremony, held on Thursday, 09 April, ahead of tomorrow’s highly anticipated final.
The special occasion brought to a close a week-long programme of educational workshops designed to empower young participants with valuable skills both on and off the pitch.
The initiative forms a central pillar of the CAF African Schools Football Championship, which continues to distinguish itself as a platform that blends football excellence with education and development.
Throughout the week, participants engaged in a diverse range of capacity-building programmes, including the CAF Young Referees Workshop, CAF Young Reporters Programme, CAF Young Medical Officers Workshop, the CAF D License Coaching Workshop targeted at school teachers who also serve as coaches, as well as Safeguarding Workshops.
These sessions were aimed at nurturing the next generation of African football professionals while promoting holistic growth among young people.
Speaking at the ceremony, CAF Director of Member Associations, Sarah Mukuna, praised the initiative and its impact:
