The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the fixtures for the CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals Zimbabwe 2026, setting the stage for an exciting showcase of Africa’s brightest young football talent.

Now in its fourth edition, the CAF African Schools Football Championship continues to grow as one of the continent’s premier youth development platforms. The Zimbabwe Finals will take place from 06–10 April at Gateway High School, bringing together the best U-15 boys’ and girls’ teams from across Africa.

Following the official draw held in Harare on Thursday, the eight qualified teams in both the Boys’ and Girls’ divisions have been split into two groups of four. With the group stage now set, anticipation is building for what promises to be a highly competitive tournament.

The top two teams in each of the groups will advance to the semi-finals of the competition.

The Boys’ competition will kick off with a thrilling encounter as last season’s runners-up, Senegal, face Benin. This will be followed by a clash between Morocco and DR Congo.

Defending champions Tanzania will begin their title defence against Southern African champions Zambia in what is expected to be a closely contested fixture.

Hosts Zimbabwe, making their debut in the finals, will headline the opening day fixtures as they take on East African champions Uganda in front of what is expected to be a passionate home crowd.

The Girls’ division also promises high-quality action. Tanzania will open proceedings against Burkina Faso in the early fixture.

Defending champions Ghana will begin their campaign against Guinea, while hosts Zimbabwe face a spirited Morocco side in a match that is sure to draw strong local support.

At the same time, Southern African champions Zambia will battle Central African representatives DR Congo in another exciting encounter.

Beyond the Pitch: CAF Capacity Building Programmes:

Beyond the on-field action, CAF will continue to implement its Capacity Building Programmes throughout the tournament. These initiatives are a cornerstone of CAF’s long-term vision to develop football at grassroots level, focusing on areas such as coaching, refereeing, and youth development.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship Capacity Building Programmes officially got underway on Thursday and will continue throughout the competition.
