CAF African Schools Football Championship: Team Profile - Zimbabwe (Boys)

Published:

As tournament hosts, Zimbabwe will be aiming at putting up a strong performance in  Africa’s largest school's football tournament.

Under the guidance of head coach Jatson Maposa, the squad is currently in camp, sharpening its readiness ahead of the competition.

Zimbabwe head into the tournament with experience from the recent  COSAFA Zonal qualifiers in South Africa, where they recorded victories over Mozambique (2-0) and Namibia (1-0), before falling to South Africa.

After narrowly missing out in Stellenbosch, the finals present a valuable chance for redemption, as well as a significant platform for exposure.

Key players Moses Marimudze and Munanawashe Bote will be central to Zimbabwe’s ambitions as they look to make an impact in front of their home crowd.
