Decision day as CAF African Schools Football Championship CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers to decide continental representatives

The two nations to represent the CECAFA region in both the boys and girls divisions of the CAF African Schools Football Championship will officially be decided tomorrow (Tuesday), as the tournament comes to an official closing.

The fourth season of Africa’s largest schools football competition is in its exciting Zonal Phase, with teams across the continent putting their best foot forward in aiming to secure their place at next year’s CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals.

To date, three of the six Zonal Qualifiers have taken place, with Senegal (Boys) and Guinea (Girls) sealing qualification in the WAFU A Qualifiers, Benin (Boys) and Burkina Faso (Girls) qualifying from WAFU-B while Zambia secured a double in the COSAFA Qualifiers clinching both the boys' and girls' titles.

In Monday’s CECAFA Qualifiers semi-finals, Tanzania will face off against Burundi at 15h00 Local Time before Ethiopia and faces host nation Uganda in the 17h00 kick off.

In the boys division, Ethiopia face Burundi at 14h00 in the first semi-final, before hosts Uganda take on Tanzania at 16h00.

Winners in both the boys and girls semi-finals will advance to the finals to determine the two nations to represent the zone at next year’s CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals.
