The CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals marks the culmination of the fourth season of CAF’s flagship youth football programme, which continues to play a transformative role in the development of young talent across the continent.
Running concurrently with the five-day competition will be a series of CAF Capacity Building Programmes, designed to equip participants with essential skills both on and off the field, reinforcing CAF’s commitment to holistic youth development.
Reigning champions Ghana (Girls U-15) and Tanzania (Boys U-15) will look to defend their titles after impressive performances in the previous edition held in Ghana, where Tanzania secured back-to-back championships.
Winners in both categories will receive USD 300,000 in prize money, with the runners-up earning USD 200,000 and third-place finishers USD 150,000. The prize funds are earmarked for development projects within participating schools, further underlining the competition’s long-term impact.

Over 3 160 000 Boys and Girls have participated in the programme since 2022, making it the biggest schools football competition globally. A total of 142 360 schools from 49 African countries have taken part in the programme since inception.
