Angola, Libya join contenders as second round of CAF Beach Soccer AFCON Qualifiers begin
The race to the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026 officially enters its second round this weekend, with seven ties set to determine the teams that will join hosts Senegal at the continental finals.
The second round follows the conclusion of the opening stage, which saw Angola and Libya advance to join the teams that had been exempted from the first round.
The CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026 will take place from 7 to 15 November 2026.
Angola, who progressed after overcoming Mauritius 10-3 on aggregate, face Egypt in one of the opening round’s headline fixtures. The Palancas Negras secured their passage with victories in both legs and will now look to carry that momentum into their encounter against an Egyptian side that entered the competition in the second round.
Libya, the other team to emerge from the first round, face a challenging test against Morocco as they seek to continue their journey towards Senegal.
The second-round also features several intriguing regional match-ups, including Côte d’Ivoire against Mauritania, Tanzania versus Mozambique, Seychelles taking on Malawi, Burundi facing Uganda and an all-West African encounter between Nigeria and Ghana.
The first-leg matches will be played between 09 - 11 October, with the return fixtures scheduled for 16 - 18 October.
At the conclusion of the second round, the seven aggregate winners will qualify for the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026, joining hosts and reigning champions Senegal at the continental showpiece.
