CAF Beach Soccer AFCON Senegal 2026 Qualifiers draw sets road to continental finals
The CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026 Qualifiers Draw has set the road to the continental finals, with 16 nations to compete for the seven available places following Tuesday’s draw that was held at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Hosts and reigning champions Senegal have already secured their place at the tournament, which will be played from 7 to 15 November 2026, leaving seven qualification spots to be decided through two rounds of home-and-away ties.
The draw has produced exciting fixtures for the 16 engaged nations, with the first round featuring four teams as Mauritius play Angola and Kenya take on Libya.
The First Round opening legs will be played between 18 and 20 September, with the return legs scheduled for 25 to 27 September 2026. The team drawn first plays the first leg at home.
The two winners from the first round will advance to the second stage, joining the 12 exempted teams. The resulting 14 teams will then contest the second round.
The winner of the tie between Mauritius and Angola will face Egypt in the second round, while Morocco take on the victor in the tie between Kenya and Libya.
Other Second Round ties include a heavyweight west African battle as Nigeria meet Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire take on Mauritania.
There is also an all-Southern African clash as Seychelles play Malawi, while East Africans Tanzania face Mozambique. The other tie sees Burundi meet Uganda.
The first legs of the Second Round of qualifiers will be played from 9 to 11 October, followed by the decisive return legs from 16 to 18 October, with the winners booking their places alongside hosts Senegal at the eight-nation tournament.

- M15-16: Burundi vs Uganda
- M17-18: Nigeria vs Ghana
