The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has announced the procedures ahead of the Final Draw for the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Senegal 2026 that will take place at CAF’s headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, 4 November 2026 at 16h00 Cairo time (14h00 GMT).

Eight nations have qualified for the continental showpiece, which will be hosted by Senegal from 28 November - 06 December 2026 and the draw, which will be live on CAF TV, will determine the composition of the two groups.

The eight qualified teams are Angola, Ghana, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal and Uganda.

Seeding and Pot Allocation

As per the regulations, the host nation is the seeded team in Group A, with Group B headed by the defending champions.

But as Senegal are both hosts and defending champions, they will be automatically allocated to position A1, while Mauritania, runners-up in the 2024 edition, will be placed in position B1.

The remaining six teams have been distributed into three pots based on the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations ranking covering the last three editions of the competition:

Pot 1: Morocco, Mozambique

Pot 2: Malawi, Uganda

Pot 3: Ghana, Angola

Draw Procedures

The draw will begin with Pot 3, followed by Pot 2 and Pot 1.

The first team drawn from Pot 3 will be allocated to Group A in position A4, while the second team drawn will be placed in Group B in position B4.

The same procedure will be repeated for the remaining teams in each of the three pots until all eight positions in the two groups have been filled.

Group Stage and Knockout Format

The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four, with each team playing three group-stage matches.

At the conclusion of the group stage, the top two teams in each pool will advance to the semi-finals. The winner of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B, while the winner of Group B will take on the runner-up of Group A.

The semi-final losers will contest the third-place match, while the winners will meet in the final to determine the champions of Africa.
