Line-up for CAF Beach Soccer AFCON Senegal 2026 complete following conclusion of qualifiers

The line-up for the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Senegal 2026 has been confirmed following the conclusion of the qualifiers, with seven nations securing their places at the continental showpiece alongside hosts and reigning champions Senegal.

A total of 16 nations competed for the seven available qualification places for the tournament, which will take place in Senegal next month from 7 to 15 November 2026.

Senegal secured their place as hosts and will look to defend their continental title on home soil.

Angola, Ghana, Malawi, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique and Uganda emerged from the qualifiers to complete the eight-team line-up for the finals.

Angola will make an historic debut appearance at the continental showpiece, adding a new contender to the competition.

Senegal head into the tournament having dominated the competition in recent years. They have won the title at every edition in the last decade, claiming five consecutive victories in 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2024.

The hosts will now aim to extend that record in front of their home supporters.

The final round of qualifiers produced several notable results. Morocco secured their place with an emphatic aggregate victory over Libya, while Malawi also progressed comfortably against Seychelles. Mauritania overturned their first-leg deficit to eliminate Côte d’Ivoire, and Ghana advanced after overcoming Nigeria.

Mozambique booked their place at the expense of Tanzania, while Uganda progressed past Burundi. Angola completed the list of qualifiers after holding on to their first-leg advantage against 2024 hosts, Egypt.
