Belouizdad have taken an unusual step of rallying their fans before they take on title holders Al Ahly before they clash again in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League group stage this weekend.

The Algerian club are determined to bounce back after suffering a heavy 6-1 defeat to Egyptian giants in Matchday 3 of the group stage last week.

The big defeat stunned fans of the club and now the management of Belouizdad have taken to social media to rally supporters ahead of the return leg this weekend, emphasizing the importance of unity and resilience.

In a heartfelt statement on the club’s social media, Belouizdad’s management urged fans to fill the stadium and show unwavering support.

“After the heavy loss in the last match, we need to prove that Chabab Belouizdad does not waver no matter the challenges,” the statement read.

Acknowledging the disappointment of last week’s result, the club’s message emphasized belief in the team’s ability to recover.

“Yes, we failed, and the defeat was heavy, but believing in our ability to make up for it is what will make the difference. We have great confidence in our players and technical staff,” it added.

The statement called on fans to create an electrifying atmosphere, declaring, “Your strong presence in the second leg will be the key to turning the tables and achieving the result we all dream of.”

Currently sitting third in Group C with three points, Belouizdad trail Al Ahly by four points and Orlando Pirates by two.

With Stade Abidjan at the bottom of the table, Belouizdad needs a strong performance to revive its campaign.
