Young Africans, the Tanzanian football giants, aspire to etch their name in African football history as they eye their third TotalEnergies CAF Champions League quarter-final appearance.

After an impressive run to the finals of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup last season, Young Africans are determined to leave their mark in the prestigious TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
Facing off against South African powerhouse Mamelodi Sundowns in a two-legged tie, Young Africans, fondly known as "The Citizens," are poised to challenge their opponents.
The first leg is scheduled for March 30 in Tanzania, with the return leg set to take place in South Africa a week later.

Founded 89 years ago in 1935, Young Africans is based in the Jangwani ward of Ilala District in Dar es Salaam Region, Tanzania.

Boasting an illustrious history, the club has secured 29 domestic titles and clinched the CECAFA Club Championship on five occasions.

Home matches for Young Africans are held at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, which boasts a seating capacity of 60,000 spectators.
