CR Belouizdad impressively conclude TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign
Algeria’s CR Belouizdad affirmed their status of being strong TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup title contenders with the conclusion of their group stage campaign on Sunday that saw them overcome Otoho d’Oyo 2-1 to seal an impressive run of five wins and a single loss in the group stages.
Despite the loss, Otoho d’Oyo join the Algerians in the knockout stages after finishing ahead of Stellenbosch FC and Singida Black Stars who played out to a goalles draw earlier.
In another clash, Djoliba AC concluded their group stage campaign with an impressive 4-0 home victory over San Pedro which saw them bow out of the group stages with their heads held high.

CR Belouizdad 2 – 1 Otôho d’Oyo
CR Belouizdad secured a 2–1 victory over Otôho d'Oyo in a hard-fought TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Matchday 6 encounter.
The hosts took an early lead in the 14th minute, when Abdennour Belhocini powered home a header from close range after a well-delivered cross by Naoufel Khacef. Belouizdad continued to apply pressure and doubled their advantage shortly before halftime. In the 41st minute, Farid El Melali finished clinically from the centre of the box following a precise through ball from Raouf Benguit, giving the Algerian side a 2–0 lead at the break.
Otôho d’Oyo responded with greater urgency in the second half and were rewarded in the 68th minute, as Bandiougou Diallo reduced the deficit with a right-footed finish from inside the area, assisted by Charles Atipo.
The closing stages saw increased physical intensity, with several fouls and yellow cards as Otôho pushed for an equaliser. Belouizdad, however, remained composed defensively and managed the final minutes effectively to see out the match and claim all three points.
Djoliba 4–0 San Pédro
Djoliba produced a dominant display to record a convincing 4–0 win over San Pédro in their TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Matchday 6 fixture.
The Malian side made a perfect start, opening the scoring in the 3rd minute through Fodé Touré, who calmly finished from close range after being played through by Boubacar Keita. Djoliba doubled their lead in the 24th minute, with Touré once again involved, converting from inside the box following a cross from Mahamadou Sissoko.
Djoliba continued to dominate proceedings and added a third goal in the 55th minute, as Boubacar Keita struck a powerful left-footed effort into the top corner after a set-piece situation.
The rout was completed in the 86th minute when Kenan Glougbe produced a stunning right-footed strike from outside the area, finding the top corner to seal a comprehensive 4–0 victory.
Djoliba controlled the remainder of the match with confidence, limiting San Pédro to few clear chances and closing their group-stage campaign in emphatic fashion.
