CR Belouizdad opened their TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign with a solid 2–0 victory over Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars in Algiers, delivering a strong statement in front of their home supporters.

The Algerian side wasted no time asserting their authority, breaking the deadlock in the 5th minute. Houcine Benayada delivered a well-weighted pass into the area, where Abdennour Belhocini finished with precision, guiding a right-footed shot into the bottom-left corner to hand Belouizdad an early advantage.

Their dominance continued as they doubled their lead in the 14th minute through another well-orchestrated move. Endri Çekiçi threaded a clever ball into the path of Abdelraouf Benguit, who calmly struck a low right-footed effort into the bottom-right corner to make it 2–0 inside the opening quarter-hour.

With the early cushion, Belouizdad controlled the tempo of the match, managing possession confidently and denying Singida Black Stars any clear route back into the contest.

The first half ended with the home side firmly in command.

The second half unfolded with Belouizdad maintaining their structure and composure, allowing few opportunities while managing their lead. The Tanzanians increased their efforts to find a breakthrough, but the Algerian defence remained resolute until the final whistle.

The two-goal victory marks a strong start for CR Belouizdad, setting a positive tone for what they hope will be a deep run in the competition.
