Algeria's CS Constantine and South Africa's Stellenbosch FC delivered impressive performances in the second preliminary round of the 2024-2025 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup on Friday.

CS Constantine Triumph Over Nsutreman

CS Constantine earned a valuable 2-0 away victory over Ghanaian side Nsoatreman in their Friday, September 13 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The win gives the Algerian club a significant advantage heading into the second leg of the tie.

Forward Zakaria Benchaâ was the hero for Constantine, scoring both goals in the 11th and 24th minutes.

His brace secured a vital win for the Algerians, who will now host Nsoatreman next week at the "Martyrs Hamlaoui Stadium" in Constantine, with a place in the next round within reach.

Stellenbosch Ease Past Vita Club

South Africa’s Stellenbosch also recorded an important victory, defeating DR Congo's Vita Club 2-0 at home.

The match, played at Stellenbosch's home ground, saw early strikes from Langelihle Fili in the 7th minute and Honolo Mongila in the 12th minute, putting the South African side firmly in control.

The result leaves Stellenbosch in a strong position heading into the second leg in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Vita Club, however, will need a major turnaround to overcome the deficit and progress to the next round.
