Morocco strengthened their grip on Group A at the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 with a commanding 7-0 victory over Zambia on Wednesday, led by a superb four-goal performance from Idriss Raiss El Fenni.

The defending champions delivered a dominant display at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat, taking control early and maintaining their intensity throughout to secure a second consecutive victory in their title defence.

El Fenni set the tone with a devastating opening spell, scoring three times inside the first nine minutes. His first arrived in the third minute before he doubled Morocco’s advantage a minute later, completing his hat-trick in the ninth minute to put the hosts firmly in command.

Morocco continued to press, with Yanis Ahmed Erraddaf adding a fourth goal in the 12th minute as Hicham Dguig’s side carried their attacking momentum into the break.

El Fenni struck again in the 21st minute to register his fourth goal of the match, further underlining Morocco’s attacking quality as the hosts continued to dictate proceedings.

Soufiane Charraoui made it 6-0 in the 37th minute before the contest took another turn when Zambia’s Hendricks Chisanga was sent off a minute later for a reckless foul on Charraoui.

Morocco capitalised on their numerical advantage, with Youssef Jouad scoring in the 40th minute to complete an emphatic victory.

The result underlines Morocco’s strong start to the competition as the defending champions continue their pursuit of a fourth continental crown.
