Road to TotalEnergies CAF Futsal AFCON Morocco 2026 takes shape after Qualifiers Draw
The draw for the qualifying stages of the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2026 was staged in Rabat on Wednesday, revealing the pathway to the continental finals later in the year.
Eighteen teams are involved in the qualification process, which will be contested over two rounds and will determine the seven nations that will join hosts and three-time defending champions Morocco at the finals.
The four highest-ranked teams in the FIFA Futsal World Rankings, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt and Libya, have been exempted from the first round. However, they will be required to confirm their qualification when they enter the competition in the second round against opponents eager to secure a place at the finals.
The first round, first leg of qualifiers will take place on 23 January 2026, with the second legs five days later.
Four ties are scheduled as Cape Verde will face Senegal, Namibia take on Kenya, Cameroon meet South Sudan, while Zimbabwe will be up against Tanzania.
