The Sable Antelopes of Angola beat Zambia 8-5 to secure their first victory of the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal AFCON.

Ignacio Antunes' charges came from a goal down at half time to produce a stunning second performance that saw them score eight goals to see off the Zambians challenge.

Francisco Pemba Gabriel scored a hat trick in the thrilling contest at the Salle Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat on Saturday evening.

Anderson Fortes and Joâo Cambangula each scored a goal while Helber Garcia bagged a brace for Angola.

The Sable Antelopes came into the match on the back of their opening day defeat to hosts Morocco and needed a win to keep their chances of advancing to the semifinals.

They started brightly with intent and passion against their Zambian counterparts who sat back to weather the storm from Marcos Antunes's charges.

Anderson Fortes came close for the Sable Antelopes just after 4 minutes when his fierce drive from distance agonizingly missed the target.

The Chipolopolo responded with a promising attack down the right channel allowing Prince Lungu to place in a first cross into the area but Patrick Banda dragged his effort over Dinilson Inácio's goal.

Braúlio Fontoura fired over the Zambian goal while Boniface Ndhlovu was denied by the Angolan keeper at the other end.

The two teams continued to push more and created numerous opportunities but failed to break the deadlock.

Patrick Banda fired the Chipolopolo ahead two minutes before halftime at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall in Rabat.

The Lusaka Automotive star took advantage of Braùlio Fontoura's mistake at the back to dink his effort over the keeper and hand Andrea Cristoforetti's side the lead.

The second half produced twelve goals with Angola bagging eight inside twenty minutes of play.

Joao Cambangula kicked off Angola's fight back when he drew them level with a close range finish on 24 minutes before he assisted Francisco Pemba Chico to slot in their second of the match.

Gaspar Celestino made it 3-1 with a neat first time finish but Zambia rallied to pull a goal back courtesy of star man Phiri Wiseman.

The Southern Africans regained their two-goal lead through Helber Garcia's well taken goal on 32 minutes.

The match continued to produce more goals as the two teams piled more pressure in attack.

Francis Chinyama reduced the deficit with a powerful toe-poke strike to beat the helpless Dinilson Inacio in goal.

Helber Garcia scored his second of the match to make it 5-3 to Angola before Chico scored from the back post to make it 6-3.

Phiri Wiseman scored two quick goals to complete his hat trick and give Zambia hopes of finishing with at least a point but that was quickly put to bed late on by Angola.

Anderson Fortes and Francisco Pemba Gabriel Chico scored to give Angola victory with the final score 8-5 in Rabat.

The Chipolopolo will face Morocco in their final group match on Monday, 15 April at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall while Angola will battle against Ghana simultaneously at the Salle IBN Yassine in Rabat.
