CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe and HE Turki Alalshikh met in London to discuss preparations for the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 featuring Al Ahly and Zamalek and other partnership opportunities

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) President Dr Patrice Motsepe and His Excellency Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (“GEA”) met on Tuesday night in London to discuss the preparations for the exciting TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 and other partnership opportunities.

The TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 will feature Al Ahly and Zamalek and will be played on Friday 27 September 2024 at 21H00 local time (18H00 GMT) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The CAF President Dr Motsepe said: “CAF is excited about its TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 Partnership with Saudi Arabia. On behalf of the Football Federations who represent 54 countries in Africa and are members of CAF, I would like to thank the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mohammed bin Salman for his support and partnership with CAF and African Football. I am also very happy with the excellent discussions that I had with my Brother, His Excellency Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, on the enormous potential of concluding mutually beneficial partnerships. The quality and global competitiveness of African football is reflected in the enormous popularity of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 as all the tickets were sold out within an hour and the match will be broadcast in many countries outside Africa.”

The TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 is one of the most exciting and popular sporting events to be featured at Riyadh Season 2024.
