Krunoslav Jurcic: Our Goal is to add another trophy to the cabinet
With confidence high and eyes set firmly on more silverware, Pyramids FC head coach Krunoslav Jurcic says his squad is ready to battle RS Berkane and bring home another continental title for Egypt in the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup.
The Croatian who became the first from his country to win the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League has his sights on the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup trophy despite having some of his players returning from international duty.
“Our squad was only fully formed two days ago after the international players returned from their national teams, but everyone is ready for the match,” Jurcic said at his press conference.
“We are the African champions and our goal is to add a new trophy to Pyramids' trophy cabinet.”
The former Dinamo Zagreb manager is wary of his opponent’s qualities but backs his charges to get the job done in front of their home faithful.
“We respect all our opponents and all the clubs, but we are the champions and our goal is to remain champions.
“We will face a strong team with distinguished and experienced players. However, Pyramids FC are the African champions and our goal is to win this prestigious title, no matter the circumstances.
“Our main goal is to win every tournament and do everything we can to add major and valuable titles to Pyramids FC's trophy cabinet,” Jurcic stressed.
The coach who has delivered their first continental title rallies his fans for support to overcome the three-time Confederations Cup winner RS Berkane.
“The most important thing for us is the entire group. Despite the absences of some players, Pyramids FC is capable of winning. We have previously played without key players in major finals and won the title, and we seek to do so again.
“I ask the Egyptian public to support Pyramids FC against RS Berkane because we represent Egypt. The fans attending the match will truly enjoy what our players have to offer and will rejoice with them in the continental title.”
