How to watch the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 AFCON semi-finals
The TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2026, reaches the semi-final stage on Thursday and football fans can follow the two matches live on the CAF TV (YouTube) channel.
Egypt face Tanzania in the first semi-final at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, before hosts and defending champions Morocco take on Senegal in the second match of a decisive evening in the race to become African champions.
The first match between Egypt and Tanzania will kick off at 17:00 local time in Morocco, while Morocco’s meeting with Senegal will follow at 20:00 local time.
CAF’s official YouTube platform CAF TV will provide live coverage and match highlights of the two matches as well exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes content.
The semi-finals will also be available through CAF’s broadcast partners in different territories, with beIN Sport, Canal+, SuperSport, Azam TV and SABC Sport among the more 20 broadcasters carrying the tournament.
The semi-finals bring together four teams who have already secured qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, but the focus now turns to the continental title and a place in Tuesday’s final.
Egypt go into their tie against Tanzania after one of the most commanding performances of the quarter-finals, beating Côte d’Ivoire 4-1.
Tanzania, however, have become one of the stories of the tournament. The Serengeti Boys reached the last four after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Algeria before winning 4-3 on penalties.
Their semi-final against Egypt offers fans the contrast of a traditional North African powerhouse against an East African side chasing one of the biggest youth football achievements in their history.
The second semi-final is a heavyweight meeting between Morocco and Senegal.
Morocco, backed by home support, reached the last four with a narrow 1-0 win over Cameroon while Senegal reached the semi-finals after surviving a red card, a late Mali equaliser and a tense penalty shootout.
The Young Lions of Teranga won 4-2 from the spot after a 1-1 draw, with goalkeeper Assane Sarr playing a decisive role.
For global viewers, Thursday’s matches offer a chance to watch some of Africa’s best young players at a key stage of their development.
The competition has already produced drama, goals, penalty shootouts and breakout performances, and the semi-finals are expected to provide another major test for the continent’s rising stars.
