ASFAR faces Rivers Angels at Group B Matchday 1 of the 1st edition of TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League on Saturday the 6th of November at El Salam Stadium, Cairo.

This is what ASFAR’s coach and player said:

Abadallah HAIDAMOU – ASFAR Coach

“We prepared with 9 friendly matches, plus 2 national team matches in which 12 players of our team participated in with the national team. Our players are ready both physically and mentally. We know the first match is a statement and we work on that by studying the team as well as the other teams in the group. Each team has their own strengths, and we are prepared for this”.

“We wanted a Women’s Champions league for a long time, so we are now happy we get to showcase our capabilities. I won the champions league with ASFAR as a player in 1985 and I want to double that achievement by winning this title with my team”.

GHIZLANE CHEBBAK – ASFAR Midfielder

“Our preparations went well, and we are very concentrated on the match ahead of us. Every player dream of participating in international tournaments and we are happy we get to achieve this now. We have experience in our team, and we are always keen to keep our spirit high”.

“We know our coach’s great history in Morocco as a player and he’s like a father to us, so we are more motivated to achieve this title with him”.
