MATCH STATS: Algeria face Senegal in TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON Morocco 2026 opener

Algeria and Senegal open their TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 campaigns with a Group A clash at the Rabat Olympic Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 18h00 local time; 17h00 GMT).

  • This is the first meeting between the nations at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
  • The nations’ men’s teams have previously met at AFCON, most notably in the 2019 final, when Algeria defeated the Teranga Lions 1-0 in Cairo. Baghdad Bounedjah scored the game’s only goal.
