Egypt meet surprise package Malawi in their second TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 Group C match at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat on Saturday, 1 August, with kick-off at 18h00 local time (17h00 GMT).

• This will be the first meeting between Egypt and Malawi at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
• Egypt are facing a Southern African nation for the fourth time. Their record in the previous three matches is one win and two defeats.

• They are the first team in WAFCON history to score three goals in a match against Nigeria.
• Victory would see Malawi become the first debutants to win their opening two WAFCON matches, excluding 1998, when all teams made their tournament debuts.
• Victory would see Malawi progress to the next round if Zambia do not lose to Nigeria.
