AS FAR book semi-final spot with composed victory over 15 de Agosto

In a confident showing of their final Group A match of the CAF Women’s Champions League finals,  AS FAR secured a 2-0 win over Angolan outfit 15 de Agosto to mathematically guarantee their place in the knockout stages of the competition.

AS FAR broke the deadlock just before half-time when they were awarded a penalty thanks to a VAR review for skipper Najat Badri to calmly convert for the lead going into the break.

 

In the second half they extended their advantage through a well-taken goal around in the 63rd minute courtesy of a Safa Banouk finish to put the Moroccans in a comfortable two-goal lead.

The win sees AS FAR remain unbeaten in this group stage as they await their quarter final opponent.

The results sees 15 de Agosto’s journey in the CAF Women’s Champions League come to an end.
