CAF Women’s Champions League: AS FAR overcome USFAS Bamako
CAF Women’s Champions League 2025 action continued on Tuesday, 11 November as AS FAR confirmed their status as one of the tournament favourites with a 2-0 victory over USFAS Bamako.
The Moroccan champions controlled the tempo from start to finish, displaying their trademark discipline and experience.
AS FAR signalled their intent early in the game and thought they had taken the lead in the 27th minute through Yolande Gnammi, but her effort was ruled out for offside. Their persistence paid off just before half-time when Zineb Redouani calmly converted a penalty in the 45th minute to give her side a deserved advantage going into the break.

After the restart, AS FAR maintained their dominance, dictating play through possession and pressing high to deny USFAS any space. The Malian side found it difficult to break through a well-organised defence.
In the closing moments, Hajar Said sealed the win with a clinical finish in the 90th minute, ensuring all three points for the Moroccan giants.
With this victory, AS FAR strengthen their position in the group and take a major step towards qualification for the knockout stage, while USFAS Bamako will look to bounce back in their next match against FC Masar to keep their hopes alive.
