How the team qualified

FUS Rabat secured their place in the CAF Women’s Champions League after winning the UNAF qualifying tournament.

The Moroccan side began their campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over CF Akbou before thrashing ASF Sousse 7-0 on matchday two. In their final match, they recorded an impressive 3-1 victory over FC Masar, completing the group stage with three wins from three matches and confirming their dominance in the tournament.

The Coach: Mehdi El Qaichouri

While FUS Rabat are preparing for their first appearance in the CAF Women’s Champions League, Mehdi El Qaichouri is familiar with the demands of the competition. In 2023, he guided SC Casablanca to the final, where the club suffered a 3-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo, Cote d’Ivoire.

Committed to the development of women’s football in Morocco, the tactician is working to establish a strong performance culture at FUS Rabat, building on a project centred on playing philosophy, youth integration and high standards in daily training.

Key Player: Hasnae Ouhatte

Having conceded just one goal during the UNAF qualifiers, Hasnae Ouhatte impressed with her solid goalkeeping and consistency, earning her the Best Goalkeeper Award at the tournament.

Confident in claiming the ball and alert in her positioning, she stands out for her ability to reassure her defence and anticipate opposition attacks, while maintaining her composure in decisive moments.
