CAF Women's Champions League: CECAFA semi-finalists revealed
The four teams that have reached the semi-finals of the CECAFA tournament, a qualifier for the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League, are now confirmed.
They are Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), Kenya Police, Simba Queens, and Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, led by the exceptional performance of forward Hadija Nandaho, secured an emphatic 10-0 victory over FAD in Group B of the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA 2024 qualifiers.
This dominating win has propelled the Ugandan women's champions into the semifinals, which are set to begin on Monday at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
During the match, Hadija Nandaho found the back of the net four times, marking an outstanding performance that contributed to the biggest win of the zonal qualifiers currently taking place in Addis Ababa.
In another match of the day, the Simba Queens secured their place in the next round by drawing 2-2 with PVP Buyenzi, a result that delighted the Tanzanian players.
As the competition progresses, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia will face Kawempe Muslim Ladies in one semifinal, while Simba Queens will go up against Kenya Police Bullets WFC in the other, both matches scheduled for Monday.
