Edo Queens becomes the third Nigerian team to Qualify for CAF Women’s Champions League

Edo Queens have become the third Nigerian Club to Qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League following their 3-0 victory over Benin's Ainonvi FC during WAFU B Qualifiers.

Rivers Angels were the first Nigerian team to qualify for the event. Bayelsa Queens, who competed in 2022, are the other Nigerian team that qualified for the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Edo Queens, who will be making their debut in the continental Women’s Club Championship show dominance in the WAFU B Qualifiers against some of the favourites including Inter d’Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire`).

Earlier in the day, Inter d’Abidjan claimed the third spot in the tournament after a 1-0 victory over Burkina Faso's AO Étincelles, with a goal from Mélissa Sandrine Behinan, much to the delight of their home supporters.
