Edo Queens, FC Masar share spoils to set up Group B photo finish

Edo Queens and FC Masar played out to a goalless draw in Wednesday’s second match of the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024 in Casablanca.
A win for either side could have seen them put one foot into the semi-finals of the competition.
Both Queens and Masar are making their first appearance at the finals.
High in confidence following their impressive 1-0 win over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, FC Masar were hoping to carry on from their momentum.
Equally so, Edo Queens who cruised past Central Bank of Ethiopia by 3-0 were hoping to build on the impressive performance.
Despite the numerous chances created, neither of the two debutants could break the deadlock, with both goalkeepers and set of defenders being on high alert throughout the tense encounter.
The result sees Queens maintain their lead at the top of Group B with four points, with Masar just behind them on the same number of points.
The goalless draw has sets up a photo finish in Group B, with Queens having to face a resurgent Sundowns who won 4-0 against CBE earlier, while Masar face the already knocked out Ethiopian side.
Both matches take place on Saturday at 19h00 Local Time.
