The fifth edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League will take place from 8 to 21 November 2025 in Egypt. It will be the second time the country hosts the competition, following the inaugural edition in 2021.

Egyptian champions in 2025, FC Masar will take part in the finals for the second time. The club has quickly established itself as a rising force in Egyptian women’s football, known for its attacking style and youthful squad supported by several internationals.
Runners-up in the UNAF qualifiers behind AS FAR, Masar earned automatic qualification as representatives of the host nation. After finishing third in 2024, they will aim to shine on home soil and continue the momentum of the country’s fast-growing women’s game.

Their record speaks for itself: four podium finishes – 3rd in 2021 and 2023, finalists in 2024, and champions in 2022. Backed by an experienced generation of players, AS FAR remain one of the benchmark teams in African women’s football.

USFAS Bamako (Mali)

The year 2025 marks a historic milestone for USFAS Bamako, the club of the Malian Armed Forces. Winners of the UNIFFAC qualifying tournament, 15 de Agosto overcame experienced sides such as AC Colombe (Congo) and Ebolowa FC (Cameroon). The club becomes the third representative from Equatorial Guinea to reach the finals, following the Hurricanes (2023) and Malabo Kings (2021). Under coach Sinforosa Eyang Nchama, the team aims to continue the nation’s proud tradition of success in women’s football.

Gaborone United Ladies (Botswana)

Gaborone United Ladies produced one of the biggest shocks of the qualifiers by eliminating two-time African champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the COSAFA zone. JKT Queens (Tanzania)

After missing the 2024 edition, JKT Queens make their return to the competition. Backed by the national defence forces, they have set their sights on a semi-final place while continuing to drive the professionalisation of women’s football in East Africa.

Qualification for the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup 2026
The winner of the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League will advance to the final qualifying round of the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup 2026.
The African champions will face Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC in December 2025, with the winner earning a place at the finals in London from 28 January to 1 February 2026.
