Kenya Police hold Yei Joint Stars in CECAFA qualifiers for CAF Women's Champions League

The second Group A match of the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA qualifiers saw Kenya Police FC and Yei Joint Stars battle to a goalless draw on Sunday.

In their debut appearance in this qualifying competition, South Sudan's Yei Joint Stars put up a strong defensive display against the Kenyan side.

The Yei Joint Stars managed to thwart all of Police FC's attacking efforts and even came close to scoring, with Mary Dawa nearly pulling off a remarkable feat.

This match was a crucial test for Yei Joint Stars before they face the tournament hosts, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kenya Police FC will be up against Rayon Sports in their next fixture.

On Monday, Group B teams will kick off their campaigns. PVP Buyenzi will take on Kawempe, while Simba Queens are set to face Djibouti Armed Forces.
