Malabo King FC one step closer to CAF Women's Champions League

Malabo King FC from Equatorial Guinea join FCF Amani (DR Congo) in the final of UNIFFAC Qualifiers of the CAF TotalEnergies Women's Champions League.

The Equatorial Guineans, already victorious over Cameroon's Louves Minproff in the first leg on August 1, repeated on Sunday with a narrow 1-0 home victory at Estadio de Malabo.

The margin was too high for Louves, beaten two weeks earlier at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé. In their den, the players of the Louves Minproff club of Yaoundé were cleverly corrected 0-3 by the Equatorial Guineans. A brace from Bella Rose and a goal from Grace Balongo Mfwambo secured the precious victory of Malabo King in the first leg.

In Sunday’s second leg in Malabo, the local players were content with Drepoba Stéphanie’s only goal ten minutes from time to secure the victory and at the same time qualify for the final round of the qualifiers.

With four participants in the Central Zone qualifiers: Amani (DR Congo), Missile FC (Gabon), Louves Minproff (Cameroon) and Malabo King FC, UNIFFAC had opted for home and away matches, the two winners of which will play in the final of the qualifiers.

Malabo King FC will therefore face FCF Amani (DR Congo) after the Congolese victory earlier against Missile FC (Gabon).
