MATCH STATS: AS FAR aim to keep 100% record in reaching knockout stages

Published:

AS FAR will be looking to maintain their 100% record of always reaching the knockout stages, requiring only a win or draw against FC 15 de Agosto at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.

FC 15 de Agosto will become the 18th different team that AS FAR have faced at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

FC 15 de Agosto are the third team from Equatorial Guinea that AS FAR will face. The Moroccan side have also previously met three clubs from Nigeria.

AS FAR have won both of their previous matches against Equatorial Guinean sides, defeating Malabo Kings 3–1 in the third-place play-off in 2021 and Huracanes 1–0 in the 2023 group stage.

A win will see Equatorial Guinea become only the second country whose clubs AS FAR have beaten three times, matching their record against Nigerian opposition.

AS FAR have won their last seven matches against debutant teams, last losing 2–1 to Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa in their opening game in 2023.
