Egyptian hosts FC Masar and Morocco’s FUS Rabat will both seek their first victory at the CAF Women’s Champions League Egypt 2026 when they meet at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia on Wednesday, 4 November (17h00 local time / 15h00 GMT).

Both clubs began with 0-0 draws on Sunday: Masar against Mamelodi Sundowns and tournament debutants FUS Rabat against Lekié Football Filles. The contest is a rematch of September’s North African qualifiers, when FUS beat Masar 3-1.

MATCH FACTS

•  FC Masar and FUS Rabat meet for the first time at the CAF Women’s Champions League finals, although they played each other in the 2026 UNAF qualifying tournament.

•  FUS defeated Masar 3-1 in Tunis on 7 September, winning all three of their qualifying games to earn North Africa’s place at the finals. Masar qualified separately as representatives of host nation Egypt.

•  This is the third finals match between clubs from Egypt and Morocco. Both previous encounters involved Masar and AS FAR.

•  Masar lost 2-1 to AS FAR in the 2024 semi-finals and drew 0-0 with the Moroccan club in their opening group match in 2025. Their finals record against Moroccan opposition is therefore W0 D1 L1.

•  In the 2024 semi-final, Safa Banouk put AS FAR ahead in the 12th minute before Maya Ehab equalised with a stoppage-time penalty. Doha El Madani scored the winning goal moments later.

•  Two Egyptian clubs have reached the finals – Wadi Degla and FC Masar – compared with three Moroccan teams: AS FAR, SC Casablanca and FUS Rabat.

•  All four Group A teams drew their opening games 0-0, leaving the standings level on one point, with no goals scored or conceded.

FC MASAR – KEY STATISTICS

•  Masar are appearing at the finals for the third successive edition. They finished third in 2024 and fourth in 2025.

•  They drew 0-0 with Mamelodi Sundowns in their opening match, extending their unbeaten record against the South African champions after a 1-0 victory in 2024.

•  Masar have opened the tournament with a 0-0 draw in successive editions, against AS FAR in 2025 and Sundowns in 2026.

•  Four of Masar’s 11 finals matches have finished 0-0, more than any other club. They have drawn five games overall, with the other stalemate a 1-1 against USFAS Bamako in 2025.

•  Masar have been involved in at least one goalless draw at all three editions they have contested, including two in 2024.

•  They have avoided defeat in their first two group matches in both previous appearances: a 1-0 win over Sundowns and 0-0 draw with Edo Queens in 2024, followed by a 0-0 draw with AS FAR and 5-0 win over FC 15 de Agosto in 2025.

•  Masar have not conceded a goal in either of their first two group-stage matches at the finals in 2024 or 2025.

•  Their previous second group games brought a 0-0 draw with Edo Queens in 2024 and a 5-0 victory over FC 15 de Agosto in 2025, their biggest win at the finals.

•  Masar are unbeaten in all seven group-stage matches they have played at the finals (W3 D4). Only Sundowns have had a longer unbeaten start to their group-stage history, going nine games without defeat (W8 D1).

•  They have kept five clean sheets in their seven group-stage games and have conceded only twice in those matches.

•  Masar have won only one of their last eight finals matches (W1 D4 L3), their 5-0 group-stage victory over FC 15 de Agosto in 2025.

•  They are currently on a four-match winless run (D2 L2), having drawn with USFAS Bamako, lost to ASEC Mimosas and TP Mazembe in 2025, and drawn their 2026 opener with Sundowns.

•  Masar had just two attempts and no shots on target against Sundowns, whose goalkeeper was not required to make a save.

•  Goalkeeper Habiba Sabry made four saves against Sundowns, keeping her sixth clean sheet in her 11th match at the finals.

•  Sabry had conceded in Masar’s last three matches of the 2025 competition before registering the clean sheet against Sundowns.

•  FUS are the second Moroccan club to draw their opening match on debut, after SC Casablanca’s 1-1 draw against Athlético Abidjan in 2023.
