MATCH FACTS

•  This will be the first meeting between Mamelodi Sundowns and FUS Rabat at the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.

•  FUS will be the third Moroccan club Sundowns have faced at the finals, after AS FAR and SC Casablanca. Sundowns will consequently have met all three Moroccan clubs to have appeared at the competition.

•  Nigeria is the only other country to have provided three different opponents for Sundowns at the finals: Rivers Angels (2021), Bayelsa Queens (2022) and Edo Queens (2024). Sundowns won two of those matches and lost one.

•  Sundowns have faced Moroccan opposition five times at the finals, recording three wins, one draw and one defeat.

•  Three of those five meetings came in 2023; the other two were in 2021 and 2022.

•  Sundowns have met AS FAR three times: a 0-0 group-stage draw in 2021, a 4-0 defeat in the 2022 final and a 1-0 victory in the 2023 semi-finals.

•  Their other two games against Moroccan clubs were both against SC Casablanca in 2023: a 1-0 group-stage victory and a 3-0 win in the final.

•  No previous finals match between Sundowns and a Moroccan club has featured goals by both teams.

•  Sundowns have kept four clean sheets in five games against Moroccan sides, including in their last three such matches.

•  Sundowns went unbeaten in their first nine matches at the finals (W7 D2) before losing 4-0 to AS FAR in the 2022 final, their heaviest defeat at the competition.

•  Sundowns have won their last three matches against Moroccan sides, all in 2023: once against AS FAR and twice against SC Casablanca.

•  This will be Sundowns’ third group-stage match against Moroccan opposition. They drew 0-0 with AS FAR in 2021 and beat SC Casablanca 1-0 in 2023.

•  Sundowns have yet to concede a goal in a group-stage match against a Moroccan club.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS – KEY STATISTICS

•  Sundowns drew their opening match 0-0 with FC Masar before defeating Lekié Football Filles 2-1 in their second Group A game.

•  They have avoided defeat in their opening two group matches for the fourth time, following 2021, 2022 and 2023, when they won both their opening fixtures.

•  Avoiding defeat against FUS would see Sundowns complete an unbeaten group stage for the fourth time. Their only group-stage defeats came in 2024; they went unbeaten in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

•  Victory would give Sundowns at least two group-stage wins for the fourth time. They won twice and drew once in 2021, and won all three group games in both 2022 and 2023.

•  Sundowns won their final group match in 2022 and 2023, having drawn it in 2021 and lost it in 2024.

•  They drew 0-0 with AS FAR in their final 2021 group game, beat TP Mazembe 4-0 in 2022 and defeated Athlético d’Abidjan 3-0 in 2023.

•  Their only Matchday 3 defeat was a 2-1 loss to Edo Queens in 2024. Sundowns led through Melinda Kgadiete before conceding twice in second-half stoppage time.

•  Sundowns have won all four finals matches in which Tholakele has scored.
