UNIFFAC kicks off CAF Women's Champions League qualifiers in Kinshasa
The Union of Central African Football Federations (UNIFFAC) officially kicked off its qualification matches for the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League on Monday, 19 August, at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
This opening day features two exciting matchups. At 13:00 local time, TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo will face CSM Diables Noirs from Congo.
Later, at 16:00, Atlético Feminino de Malabo from Equatorial Guinea will take on Lekié Football from Cameroon.
Three teams from the UNIFFAC zone are competing in this tournament, which serves as the qualification stage for the fourth edition of the CAF Women's Champions League finals.
The participating teams—TP Mazembe, CSM Diables Noirs, Atlético Feminino de Malabo, and Lekié Football—will compete in a league format, with only one team advancing to the final stages of the competition.
Of the four teams, TP Mazembe is the only club that has previously participated in the final stage of the CAF Women's Champions League, having reached the finals in the tournament's second edition.
