African women abroad: Racheal Kundananji notches her first brace

Zambia striker Racheal Kundananji shone for Eibar as she scored twice in their 3-2 Spanish Premiera Iberdrola defeat at Tenerife. The brace took her goal haul to five in 14 starts, bettering the four of Kuki from 16 starts this season.

RACHEAL KUNDANANJI [Eibar]

The Zambia international's sublime brace was her first ever in Spanish football and scored the first of the game in the 54th minute, cancelling out the hosts' opener. Her second came just nine minutes later, offering the visitors the lead but the hosts fought back to claim the maximum points.

SWEDEN

NGOZI OKOBI-OKEOGHENE (Eskilstuna United)

The Nigerian continued her fine form in front of goal in Eskilstuna United's 2-2 draw at Kristianstad. The Super Falcons midfielder assisted the opening goal for the visitors and eventually got herself on the scoresheet in the 77th minute before the hosts forced a stalemate eight minutes from time.

The 28-year-old has now scored two goals and provided one assist in three matches in the Swedish Damallsvenskan season.

FRANCE

CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE [Paris FC]

The Nigerian shotstopper shone between the sticks for Paris as they guaranteed their maiden qualification to the UEFA Women's Champions League next season after a 3-1 win over Montpellier. With three games left to play, third-placed Sandrine Soubeyrand's side sealed their ticket with 10 points lead over fourth-place Fleury 91. The 21-year-old 2019 CAF Women's Player of the Year nominee will look to end the 2022 season on a high, having kept eight clean sheets in 19 league outings.

ROSEMONDE KOUASSI [Fleury]

The 20-year-old Ivorian striker made her incredible mark for Fleury despite crumbling 2-1 at home against leaders Lyon. Just as in a recent 4-2 defeat at PSG, Kouassi gave Fleury the lead in the 36th minute with her third goal in six games.

GABRIELLE ABOUDI ONGUENE [CSKA Moscow]

The Cameroon international made an impactful presence for her Russian outfit as she was on target in CSKA Moscow's 4-1 triumph over Krasnodar. With 3-1 at the hour mark, the multiple CAF Women's Player of the Year finalist left it late to bag her first goal of the season and her side's matchwinner at the death.

JERMAINE SEOPOSENWE (Sporting Braga)

The South Africa international got on the scoresheet again as Sporting Braga thrashed Albergaria 4-0 in the Portuguese Liga BPI encounter. With the Women's League Cup title in the bag, the 28-year-old grabbed her eighth goal of the season, with her 27th minute strike and the second of the match for Braga.

POLAND

MACLEANS CHINONYEREM (Gornik Leczna)

The red-hot Nigerian striker added to her season tally as she scored the only goal for Gornik Leczna in a 2-1 defeat at Slask Wrocław. The Super Falcons hopeful opened the scoring for the visitors but Wroclaw bounced back to claim the three points. Despite the defeat, Chinonyerem extended her lead on the scorer chart with 17 goals this season.

ODE FULUTUDILU [Glasgow City]

The South African striker increased her tally to eight goals as she inspired Glasgow City to a 4-0 victory at Spartans. With the title out of reach, Fulutudilu opened the scoring in the eighth minute for the holders as they solidified their second spot in the bid for UEFA Women's Champions League qualification ticket.

UCHENNA KANU [Tigres UANL]

The Nigeria international maintained her breathtaking form in the Mexican Liga MX as she bagged her second hat-trick of the season in Tigres 4-1 victory over Santos Laguna. This second treble means the 24-year-old has increased her goal tally to 10.

ISRAEL

CHARITY REUBEN [Hapoel Beer Sheva]

The 21-year-old striker grabbed her 10th goal of the season as she netted in the 59th minute to rescue Hapoel Beer Sheva from defeat at Maccabi Emek Hefer. The goal saw the Nigerian end a seven-match drought in the Israeli topflight for Beer Sheva.

PEACE EFIH [Maccabi Kiryat Gat]

The Nigerian returned from an unforgettable senior debut experience against Canada to help Maccabi Kiryat Gat to a 2-2 draw at Ironi Ramat HaSharon. The 21-year-old midfielder struck in the 69th minute to ensure the leaders extend their unbeaten run to 16 games this season. Efih's goal was her 12th of the season and took her to joint-second on the scorer charts - five behind her fellow teammate Feliciano Flavia Giovana.

The Cameroonian maintained her industrious display in front of goal for the Dames Ligue 1 outfit as her latest brace propelled Racing to a 5-0 win over Hesperingen. The 37-year-old's brace swelled her tally to 21 goals in 10 matches this season.

TABITHA CHAWINGA [Wuhan]

The Malawian star scored her second consecutive brace of the season with her double in Wuhan 4-0 win over Henan Jianye. Her goals came in the 30th and 38th minutes of the contest for the Chinese champions as she took her tally to five in four games and ensured her side's three-point lead at the summit.

The DR Congolese and Tunisian were on target for ALG Spor as their Turkish outfit thrashed Sivasspor 6-1. Kipoyi grabbed her 17th goal of the season as Houij's brace took her tally to 25.

The Ghanaian and Central African Republic stars broke opened their accounts in the Turkish topflight as they got on the scoresheet in Amed 4-0 win over Altay. The African duo's contributions ensured their side ended a six-match winless run.

LETAGO MADIBA & HAZEL NALI [Fatih Vatanspor]

The South African and Zambian made superb contributions to their Fatih Vatanspor's 1-0 win over Atasehir Belediyespor. Striker Madiba had scored and goalkeeper Nali kept a clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Kirecburnu and both replicated similar feats against Atasehir. With back-to-back goals, Madiba has now scored seven goals as Nali added to her clean sheets tally.
