Morocco advanced into the fourth round of the African qualifiers for FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, Costa Rica 2022 following a 9-1 aggregate win against Gambia.

After a 3-1 first-leg win on home soil at Stade Moulay Hassan in Rabat, the North Africans improved on their ruthless form to seal their progression in the qualifying tournament, with a 6-0 victory at the same venue on Sunday.

Sofia Bouftini, who opened the scoring in the first leg six days ago, was yet again at her best to notch an early lead with just two minutes into the tie for Patrick Cordoba's side.

The ASFAR striker grabbed her second of the match to double the advantage for the visitors in the 15th minute before Kawtar Mahy netted her side's third on the brink of the half time.

On return from recess, the rampant Moroccans continued from where they left off against the West Africans as Bouftini bagged her treble of the match and increased the tally to four after 11 minutes in the second half.

Substitute Hajar Jbilou added the fifth of the match in the 74th minute before substitute Anfal El Yammani struck late to complete the rout against the Gambians.

After a huge third round win, Morocco will focus on their next task, which is negotiating past the winner between Senegal and Guinea in the fourth round billed for January 2022.
