Wadi Degla has secured their 11th title in Egyptian Women Premier League, having won the 2019-20 title this week.

A thrilling 4-4 draw with El Amiria meant Degla raised their tally to 36 points, four more than their closest contenders Kafr Saad with one game to spare.

Shrouk El Sayed gave Degla an early lead before Ingy Attia restored parity. Asmaa El Sayed made it 2-1 for Degla, but Salwa Mansour equalized again. Degla took the lead for the third time through Samar Adel, but Mansour completed her personal brace to make it 3-3.

El Amirira took the lead for the first time via Basma Mohamed, but for Basma Atef to score from the spot and give her side the much-needed point to guarantee the title.

Meanwhile, Kafr Saad defeated Al Masry Cairo 2-0, Bashteel won Al Maadi 3-2 while Tayaran thrashed Tram 11-0.

Wadi Degla will now represent Egypt in the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers next season.
