CAF launches tender for a Global Marketing Agency to Commercialize CAF’s National Team Competitions

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has launched a tender for a global marketing agency that will commercialise the media, broadcast and sponsorship rights for CAF’s National Teams competitions including its flagship events.

The events include the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and other National Team competitions. 

The Invitation To Tender (“ITT”) will close on Friday, 04 April 2025 at 17h00 Cairo local time.

The Global Agency will be appointed for period 2026-2029, to help establish and service a new commercial entity owned 100% by CAF to be dedicated to the management of broadcasting, media, sponsorship, and marketing rights for CAF's prestigious National Team competitions.

This innovative partnership aims to unlock new opportunities, revenue streams, increase global visibility, and enhance the overall commercial value of CAF's National Teams competitions.

The selected Agency will work closely with CAF to build a world-class structure for the sale and distribution of media rights, sponsorships, and marketing assets, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth for African football.

Through the sale of media and sponsorship rights for its football tournaments, CAF generates income which is essential to support and develop football across the continent.

  • CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2029
  • CAF Africa Women Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2026
  • CAF Africa Women Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2028
  • CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2026
  • CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2028
  • CAF Africa Cup of Nations U23: 2027
  • CAF Africa Cup of Nations U20: 2027 and 2029
  • CAF Africa Cup of Nations U17: 2027, 2028 and 2029
  • CAF Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations: 2026 and 2028
  • Futsal Africa Cup of Nations: 2028 (men)

The tender process will allow CAF to select the Agency that is best placed to achieve CAF’s objectives of providing maximum exposure for the tournament and offering fans a high-quality viewing experience.
