CAF President Dr Motsepe conveys condolences to the family of the late Lucas “Masterpiece” Moripe

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) President Dr Patrice Motsepe is deeply saddened by the passing of South African football icon Lucas “Masterpiece” Moripe.

“Masterpiece” Moripe played for a number of top South African Clubs. It was at Pretoria Callies where he made his mark and also at Orlando Pirates.

In 2010, the Atteridgeville Super Stadium was renamed to the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium to honour his legacy.

The CAF President Dr Motsepe conveys his and CAF’s deepest condolences to the family of Lucas “Masterpiece” Moripe, the South African Football Association (“SAFA”) and South African Football family.

May Lucas “Masterpiece” Moripe’s soul rest in eternal peace.
