CAF strengthens collaboration with Member Association Presidents through onboarding of newly elected and re-elected MA Presidents meetings in Cairo
The Confédération Africain de Football (CAF) kicked off a series of onboarding meetings for newly and recently re-elected Member Association (MA) Presidents at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Monday, 20 October.
The meetings, taking place between 20-22 October, mark an important step in strengthening collaboration, alignment, and shared purpose between CAF and its 54 Member Associations across the continent.
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe has undescroced the importance of CAF working closer with Member Associations and Zonal Union.
The CAF President has committed more resources and support to drive growth and development in Member Associations.
CAF General Secretary, Mr. Véron Mosengo-Omba said: “On behalf of CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe who initiated this programme to ensure that the Administration and the Member Associations work closer in delivering the CAF and Member Associations objecitves, I would like to thank the Member Associations Presidents who have been with us at the CAF Headquarters in the last few days. During our discussions, we have emphasized the need to work closer in achieving the goal of developing African Football. The Member Associations Presidents have given us a lot of insight on their needs and how we can assist them.”
Over the course of the three days, participants are given the platform to engage with various CAF Departments and engage on various operational and strategical football matters – which include competitions, finance, development, women’s football, governance, and communications.
The onboarding initiative also provided an open platform for dialogue, allowing MA Presidents to share their perspectives, challenges, and strategic priorities at the national level.
