DR Congo, Kenya and Burundi concluded successful CAF CLOP Workshops

The Confédération Africaine de Football’s (CAF) ongoing efforts to develop and enhance the professionalism of football in Africa continue across the continent. The governing body of African football recently concluded a successful CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) workshop in three countries.
Between 02 – 06 April, CAF, through its Professional Football Division, conducted workshops in DR Congo, Kenya, and Burundi. Each Member Association was taken through the system's user mechanics, functionality, and benefits.
CLOP is an electronic tool designed by CAF to oversee the club licensing and stadium inspection process for continental and domestic competitions.
Through the platform, each Member Association is equipped with a fully automated and electronic club licensing process, which allows clubs to archive and submit their club Licensing documents virtually for CAF Club Interclub competitions.
Just recently, CAF extended the platform to all its 54 Member Associations to utilise it for their respective top-tier men’s club competitions.
Concluding yet another successful tour of the CAF CLOP workshops, which adds to the growing list of countries that CAF has visited, CAF’s Head of Professional Football, Muhammad Sidat, said the reception from all three countries bears testament to the benefits that the system brings in further enhancing professional football in Africa.
“The CLOP system continues to be well received across the continent thanks to the receptive nature of our Member Associations. Through collaborative efforts with our Member Associations, the growth and enhancement of professional football continues to be on the rise. The system is now fully functional, and we continue to work together with our Member Associations in further developing CLOP to be the best system for the professionalisation of football on the continent”, said Sidat.
More announcements will be made by CAF on the next workshops and phases of the system.
