ZSC EST 2002

It has been a long rivalry between two of the continent’s giants, Tunisia’s Esperance Sportive de Tunis and Egypt’s Zamalek Sporting Club. But this year will witness new chapters in their story, with three intriguing encounters in less than a month. They have been drawn against each other in the 2019/20 Total CAF Champions League quarterfinal, but before that, they will face off in the 2020 Total CAF Super Cup match in Doha, Qatar.

Esperance and Zamalek locked horns in 6 previous CAF Interclub matches, with the Egyptian White Knights winning twice compared to Tunisia’s Gold and Blood lone victory, with three matches ending in a stalemate. Each side has scored six goals and conceded as many.

Prior to their 2020 Total CAF Super Cup clash, scheduled next Friday (14 February 2020) at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium (Al-Gharrafa Stadium) in Doha, Qatar, at 19H00 local time (16H00 GMT), here is a look at the previous head to head record between both sides in CAF Interclub Competitions;
