Khadija Er-Rmichi, Chiamaka Nnadozie as well as Andile Dlamini are the three shortlisted nominees in the Goalkeeper of the Year (Women) category in the upcoming CAF Awards set to take place in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday, 11 December.

CAFOnline takes a look at how they earned their place in the shortlisted three of the best Goalkeepers in the women’s category.

Khadija Er-Rmichi (Morocco, AS FAR)

Crowned champions for a record ninth time in the Moroccan championship with AS Far, Khadija Er-Rmichi has undoubtedly etched her name into the rich history books of the African game.

With the Atlas Lionesses, the native of Khouribga reached the Round of 16 of the FIFA Women's World Cup™ in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, before coming back to guide her club to a hard-fought third-place finish at the recently concluded CAF Women’s Champions League in Cote d’Ivoire.

Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria, Paris FC)

Appointed captain of the Super Falcons during the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, Chiamaka Nnadozie stood out from the very start of the competition against Canada by saving a well-taken penalty taken by Christine Sinclair, where she went on to be voted Player of the Match.

The Nigerian shot-stopper was the main architect of Paris FC's qualification to the UEFA Champions League with 6 clean sheets in 14 matches.

Andile Dlamini (South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns)

Andile Dlamini has been consistent for both club and country over the last few years. At the recent CAF Women’s Champions League, the shot-stopper kept a clean sheet throughout the tournament against some of the best African women’s football clubs in Cote d’Ivoire.

She remains a trusted figure and the last line of defense for both Mamelodi Sundowns and reigning African champions, Banyana Banyana.
