CAF Disciplinary Board Media Statement

The CAF Disciplinary Board met to deliberate on several matters. Below is the summary of the Disciplinary Board decisions.
CAF Super Cup: Zamalek FC
CAF charged Zamalek FC and Zamalek FC players Nasser Mansy and Mahmoud Abdelrazek Fadlala with misconduct following incidents during the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup fixture between Zamalek and Al Ahly in Saudi Arabia on 28 September 2024.
CAF Disciplinary Board decided:
- To suspend Zamalek SC player Nasser Mansy, for the next three (3) CAF club inter-club competition matches for a provocative gesture in violation of article 147 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.
- To fine Nasser Mansy, 10 000 USD.
- To suspend Zamalek player Mahmoud Abdelrazek Fadlala, for the next three (3) CAF inter-club competition matches for unsporting conduct in violation of article 82 of the CAF Disciplinary Code.
- To fine player Mr Mahmoud Abdelrazek Fadlala, 10 000 USD.
- To fine Zamalek SC 300, 000 USD for the improper conduct of its team and officials. USD 100 000 of the fine is suspended on condition that Zamalek SC is not found guilty of a similar offense during the 2024/2025 CAF Inter-Club Competition.
TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup : Ahli Tripoli
CAF charged Ahli Tripoli with misconduct for incidents during the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary match on 15 September 2024.
Disciplinary Board decided as follows:
- Al Ahli Tripoli is found to have breached Articles 82,83 and 100 of the CAF Disciplinary Code for the misconduct of its supporters and officials.
- Al Ahli Tripoli is ordered to play its next two (2) CAF Inter-club competition matches behind closed doors; one of which is suspended on condition that Al Ahli Tripoli is not found guilty of similar incidents within the next twelve (12) months.
- Al Ahli Tripoli is ordered to pay a fine of 20 000 USD.
