CAF - Festival : Kinshasa to host a three-day football festival

The Confédération Africaine de Football will be holding a Football Festival at the Université Pédagogique Nationale in Kinshasa, DR Congo from 25 to 27 September.
The three day festival targeted at youngsters will take place ahead of Kinshasa’s hosting of the CAF General Assembly on 6 October.
Set to be staged under three key pillars of education, inclusion, and hope the festival will be —a symbol of opportunity for a new generation eager to build its future.
The first day, dedicated to awareness and discovery, will feature school visits and workshops on nutrition, in collaboration with Danone. In the afternoon, Congolese football legends will share their journeys, offering guidance and inspiration to the youth.
The second day will focus on capacity building. Physical education teachers will lead coachingclinics, while seasoned match officials will youngsters in learning the basics of refereeing.
A digital workshop will also be held on Day 2 of the Festival which will be targeted at exposing youngsters to the ever-evolving world of digital and how it can be used to enhance their education and sport.
In addition, CAF will lead discussions on child protection in football—a topic that has become a priority in CAF’s ongoing Safeguarding programme.
The festival will conclude on the third day with large football festival involving 150 youngsters, which will then be followed by a U15 mini-tournament featuring 16 mixed teams. Beyond the competition, the day will highlight fair play, camaraderie, and the distribution of school supplies—ensuring the event leaves a lasting educational impact.
In a neighborhood facing many challenges, the CAF Festival – KinFoot 2025 will carry a deeper meaning. By placing football at the heart of education and inclusion, CAF transforms the game into more than a sport—it becomes a driver of learning, solidarity, and self-confidence, paving the way for new opportunities for an entire generation.
