CAF Launches Media Rights Tender for CAF Interclub Competitions in Sub-Saharan Africa and Rest of the World Territories amidst global demand for African Football

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has launched a tender process for the media rights of the CAF Interclub Competitions, the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26 season.

The tender, which also includes Total Energies CAF Super Cup 2026 and CAF Women’s Champions League 2026, will close on Monday, 10 November at 12h00 Egyptian time.

The CAF Interclub Competitions recorded a 35% increase in TV audiences in Sub-Saharan Africa during the previous season, while North Africa and the MENA region continued to drive global demand with over 40% audience growth.

The significant growth in Sub-Sahara, mainly driven by audiences in Southern Africa and East Africa, has seen a surge in demand for CAF Media and Sponsorship rights in the region.

More importantly, Clubs in Southern Africa and East Africa have made significant leap in the level of competition coupled with the rise in popularity of the domestic Leagues in the respective markets.

The CAF Interclub Media Rights Tender will include English-speaking markets in Sub-Saharan Africa as well as Rest of the World territories.

The available rights :

  • Sub-Saharan English (Pay-tv) and local languages
  • Sub-Saharan Free-to-Air (All languages)
  • Rest of the World (RoW) All languages

The following territiories are excluded:

  • MENA (All languages)
  • Payt-tv French-speaking rights
